Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Dar es Salaam

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be met by your Zamia Africa guide and transferred to your hotel in Dar es Salaam. Enjoy a welcome briefing about your upcoming safari adventure.

Day 2 Dar es Salaam to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy game viewing en route as you descend into the Serengeti plains. Arrive at your lodge/camp for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive.

The Serengeti is home to the Big Five and hosts the annual Great Migration. Witness endless golden plains dotted with acacia trees and teeming with wildlife.

Day 3-4 Full Days in Serengeti National Park

Spend two full days exploring the vast Serengeti ecosystem. Morning and afternoon game drives offer the best wildlife viewing opportunities. Watch for lions lounging on rocks, cheetahs perched on termite mounds, and leopards resting in acacia branches.

Optional activities include a hot-air balloon safari at sunrise (additional cost) for breathtaking aerial views of the plains and wildlife below.

Day 5 Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After a final morning game drive in Serengeti, journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, visit a Maasai village (optional) to learn about traditional Maasai culture and lifestyle.

Arrive at your lodge perched on the crater rim in time to witness a spectacular sunset over the caldera.

Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater Full-Day Game Drive

Today is dedicated to exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the "Eden of Africa." Descend 600 meters into the crater floor for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.

The crater shelters an incredible concentration of wildlife, including black rhinos, elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, hippos, and flamingos. The diverse landscapes range from forests to lakes to open grasslands.

Day 7 Ngorongoro to Dar es Salaam & Departure
